Managing time is a topic I enjoy studying. Here are some other tidbits that wise trainers have passed along. Some of these conflict with advice from other so-called experts, but I tend to pick and choose what works best for me.
1.) Multi-tasking is not a good habit to practice. Do one thing at a time. Do it well and without competition from other tasks. Complete the darned thing before you start the next task. Balancing many tasks at the same time is exhausting and actually decreases one's productivity.
2.) Block off regular time for relaxation, relationships, spiritual nourishment, and exercise. We manage time better when our physical and spiritual reserviors have been tended.
3.) Say NO when you can't or when you don't have time. Say NO with a smile, but say NO with certainty.
4.) Maintain an organized work area. Clutter saps attention and enthusiasm. Clutter hides the tools we need. It doesn't inspire and it doesn't suggest busy-ness... it just confuses.

I feel like a nerd writing this, but the truth is that it's fun to think about:-) Tony
