Matchless Glory

I've heard about it for years. I've read about it often. Tonight I finally stepped foot on the Northpoint Community Church campus. It was sharp yet simple. A group of seven attended 722, a service designed for 20 somethings in the Atlanta area. Even though I no longer fit that demographic I found the worship to be awesome!

I'm always excited to learn new songs and tonight afforded me the opportunity to learn three or four new ones. There was a line in one of the songs that focused on God's glory. Up to that point, the room was dark and all the spots were shooting on stage, but as we came to the words "matchless glory" one of the spot lights swung around and hit me dead in the face. I had my eyes closed but I could sense the white light surrounding me and all I can say is that in that moment I found myself imagining what it would be like when I finally encountered the "matchless glory" of God, face to face.

I was overwhelmed and had to stop singing for a moment. Almost to catch my breath. It was a wow moment!

Check their website later this week and you can watch the service. The message talked about how God chose us to be his children. Enjoy.

Praise the Lord for mountain top experiences! This life has enough valleys to get thru. I am thankful you are being given this time of renewal and refreshment. May you be filled to the brim with His Spirit that gives us the strength and direction to make it thru the valley days.
