The Madness

The madness of March has begun and I love it.

This was the first year in as long as I can remember that I didn't get together with my boys to watch the opening round of the NCAA tourney. It had become a tradition for all of us (a few of my college friends) to take the day off, play ball in the morning and then watch ball all day Thursday. Oh, and we eat the house out:)

We weren't able to make it happen this year but I found myself grateful as I thought back to the many precious March memories I've made with my friends. We'll find a way to resume the tradition in 2008!

Though this year's tournament experience was out of routine, I did get the chance to watch my Hoosiers play the Zags last night and they looked great. I love this team! The play hard, they rebound well, they play tenacious defense, they shoot the three ball well and they can run. They are fun to watch and if they play as well as they did against Gonzaga last night, I think we have a shot to knock off UCLA Saturday.

Note: I have to say that I'm pumped VCU knocked the Dukies out in the first round. Love it!

I was actually thinking about you and the boys yesterday, Chad--wondering if you got together again.

I also like your Hoosiers. They're really scrappy. But I can't root for them against UCLA, because I'll lose a final 4 team if they win!
