Expensive Trip To Skyline

I wouldn't say it was "one of those days" because we had a fabulous worship service this morning and this evening at Thrive as well. But our afternoon trip to Skyline Chili was quite costly.

We had been in Atlanta for the last few days and needless to say the fridge was a little empty. I thought it might bless my wife to take the family out to eat. Of course we chose Skyline.

To start, before we even walked through the doors, I locked my keys in the van. Oops! I hate when I do that! I called the police and I was informed that unless a child was locked in the car I would have to call Pop-A-Lock. Another reminder that I'm not in Falmouth anymore (Posey would have hooked me up if I was still in the small town).

I asked the waiter for the Yellow Pages and while we were looking over the menu and trying to find the number to Pop-A-Lock, my son Christian proceeds to spill an entire glass of lemonade on my wife:(

Our blood pressure continues to rise.

Determined to enjoy my three way and extra bowl of crackers we made the best of a frustrating dining experience and wouldn't you know it, the Pop-A-Lock specialist showed up right as the food came. The three way and extra bowl of crackers would have to wait.

Needless to say this memorable trip to Skyline cost me $75. My comfort is in knowing that it could have been worse. We could have been forced to dine at Gold Star Chili:)

Oh boy, what a day after little sleep!! You could have eaten a 3 course meal with cloth napkins for that price.

Ouch! $75? That's one expensive coat hanger.

Oh, and Jeremy could have been there with Duck Tape, zip ties, a pocket knife, and a coat hanger. He'd have you opened in 10 minutes flat for free....Well you could have bought him a bowl of chili.

Yeah, I would have got you in your car for free, but you would'nt have been able to have Skyline. On the other hand $75.00 would have bought a lot of food at Howards.

$75 for a bowl of cold chili & a lemonade soaked wife? Yeah, that would qualify for a bad night!

Glad you didn't let the devil spoil your night! By the way, how did Jennifer handle that cold, sticky lemonade?

shoot man all you needed was a tennis ball a little vasiline and some muscle

Jeremy, I don't typically carry a tennis ball in my back pocket...or vasoline to be exact:) But I know MacGyver would have had it on him.

Did you have to take the whole $75 out of the Dave Ramsey, Eating Out Envelope?
