Next time you find it hard to sleep and you feel anxiety creeping in be reminded of Paul's words to the Philippians. He said, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7) Ah, the peace that comes when we realize we are connected to the kingdom of heaven.

Kingdom Economics
I have some good news about the state of our economy. I know that the media has most of us convinced that our nation is at an all time low and on the verge of collapse but check this out...last time I checked, God is not controlled by the U.S. economy! The Bible tells me that He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and I'm happy to say that not one of them is connected to the stock market. The Bible tells me that heaven has a storehouse of uncontainable blessing and the cool thing is, Ben Bernanke has no vote in whether the windows of heaven are open or closed. The Bible tells me that God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory, and I have news for you, His riches aren't tied up in some bank that needs a "bail out" plan. I say all of this, not to be critical, but rather to encourage the church. We need to be reminded that fear and anxiety pull things from the kingdom of darkness whereas faith pulls things from the kingdom of God. I don't know about you, but if I'm pulling on anything, I want to pull on the riches and security of God's kingdom.
