Just wanted to make a quick post from Louisville. My friend, Evan, and I are at Southeast Christian Church for Bob Russell's retirement weekend. Bob has been the Senior Minister for the last 40 years and is handing the baton to Dave Stone.
I had a mocha frappe at their Cafe 920 and I'm making this post from their sweet media center. This church is amazing! God has certainly done something special under Bob's leadership.
Postscript: Wow! The service was incredible. It reminded me how fortunate I am to be a preacher of God's word. I can only hope God will allow me to be in one ministry for 40 years. One notable quote came from Dave Stone [assuming Bob's role as Senior Pastor]. He said he was confident Southeast would continue to prosper because, "...God isn't retiring with Bob."

Chad, I had a blast going to Southeast with you. Thanks for the talk--I needed it. Thanks for driving too--I finally realize there is at least one preacher who drives faster than me :).
Throughout the service, I was reminded how Southeast has sustained such tremendous growth over the past 40 years. It's because everything is built around one man...
