Keep Singing

I've got to share a song with you.

I feel certain that someone reading this blog is carrying a heavy heart today, or is finding life hard to swallow, or is just having a bad day. The song "Keep Singing" is on MercyMe's "Undone" album and will probably never get air time but it's a great song that has ministered to me over the last year of my life. I'm posting the lyrics for you to read but I will say the song is worth the download. It's a song of worship with powerful lyrics and beautiful piano. You can listen to a sample here.

Another rainy day
I can't recall having sunshine on my face
All I feel is pain
All I wanna do is walk out of this place
But when I am stuck and I can't move
When I don't know what I should do
When I wonder if I'll ever make it through

I gotta keep singing
I gotta keep praising Your name
You're the one that's keeping my heart beating
I gotta keep singing
I gotta keep praising Your name
That's the only way that I'll find healing

Can I climb up in Your lap
I don't wanna leave
Jesus sing over me
I gotta keep singing

Can I climb up in Your lap
I don't wanna leave
Jesus sing over me
I gotta keep singing

Oh You're everything I need
And I gotta keep singing

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get on the E-mail tonight. But the post, Keep Singing, is exactly what I see you doing Chad. When scripture tells us not to grieve as those who have no hope, I believe you live it out.One of the points I picked up on in John's message this a.m. was that when we are healing from a hurt, we want to cont. to witness thru it of God's grace & power. You are never out of God's sight, afterall, He IS THE LOVER OF YOUR SOUL. Your example of a man after God's own heart strengthens me tremendously.

I cannot begin to tell you how right you are about a heavy heart that I am carrying right now. If only my brain would do what my heart knows that it should. If only I could find a way to not only give all my burdens to Him, but to let Him keep them. Why oh why do I insist on picking them back up?

I love that song and when I'm feeling blue, I listen to it as well.
Thanks Chad!
