Depression Tithing

I heard recently that during the big depression of the early 1900's an interesting trend was found. As people standing in the chow line were asked if they were tithers before the Depression hit, every last one of them said no. In other words, God had blessed the tithers even when the entire economy suffered.

I know times are tough but I think this story reminds us we can't afford not to tithe.

Hi Chad,
We visited Greenville a few times but never felt that we should put roots down there. We have come from an interdenominational background and have not yet found a church home since we moved to southern Indiana. Do you have any suggestions for churches in this area that do allow the Holy Spirit to operate fully in their body? Sue
