NJHS Rocks!

In a time for which many of our teens are labeled lazy and self centered I want give a shout out to a group of students from Phillip Sharp Middle School who went above and beyond. What they did tonight was awesome!

It actually started back in February of this year. The National Junior Honor Society [some of which Amy taught in 2nd grade] began to dream of how they could encourage and bless my family through a very difficult season of our lives. What they decided to do was completly selfless and needs to be commended. They spent the rest of the school year generating money to be given to Emrie's College Fund in memory of Amy. They did everything from pick up garbage along the highway to sell concessions at ballgames.

Tonight Emrie and I had the honor of attending their end of the year ceremony in which they handed us a check for $2,500. How's that for a gift from a bunch of junior high students. What a blessing! What a group of young people! Thanks guys!

HIP, HIP, HOORAY! MAY GOD BLESS THESE WONDERFUL YOUNG ADULTS WHO FELT THE LOVE OF AMY!

Amy's love is ever so present Chad, I know you miss her so very much. May our Lord swoop you up in HIS lap, with his strong and gentle arms, hold you....and give you comfort. Aunt Sandi
