The Value Of Excercise

Have you ever had one of those days in which you feel as if you're hitting on all cylinders? Well, that's exactly how I felt today and I have to believe it's because I added excercise to my regimine. I met a good friend of mine for tennis at 7:30am and we played for an hour before heading into the office. I have to admit that physical excercise has been something that I've been missing lately and I can feel and see the effects. I hate to run or do the treadmill thing but through the years I've always seemed to remain active in sports. That is until lately. For whatever reason I haven't had time [or made time].

It's amazing how much energy you have throughout the day when you get your heart pumping in the morning. My mom always told me that I needed to exert energy in order to get energy. I think mom was right. I'm hoping that between tennis and biking [with Emrie on the back] I'll get back into shape in the not too distant future.

But then again, I'm reminded of what Paul said in the Bible. There are other types of excercise that are more important. I'm hoping to keep my priorities straight.

Excercise is great!! Mom (Marietta) and I have started working out at the new Curves in Cynthiana. Let me tell you, it has made the 12 hour shifts much easier to endure. And we love the fact that Curves has "been built on the solid biblical principles of integrity, unity and service."

When you say you haven't had time or made time, really hit me today. So many times I pray for the Lord's help in taking time to read the bible daily, and that's my excuse (no time). Then everyday at lunch what do I do, email friends, work through lunch, complain, ebay - the list can go on and on. But what I need to be doing is "MAKING THE TIME". That's God answer to me!
