Round 1

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Things went great today at Greenville. I feel like God ordained my visit. I had the chance to speak to a church family that was in the midst of grief, having just lost a church member to cancer on Thursday. Knowing their pain I feel like God used me to minister to them. God is so good!

Funny how He uses our painful experiences to heal others. Especially since when we are going through those painful times it's hard to imagine surviving, let alone being used to heal another.

Evan is funny. I have enjoyed both of his sermons.

Here is what I have to say about your sermon today...WOW! You answered a lot of questions that we as Christians ask ourselves and are continually asked by others. "Why did 9-11 happen?" "If God provides everything we need, why are there starving children in Africa?" As a youth coach here in Greenville, your message was much needed and well received!!! There is no doubt in my mind that the position is yours, and I could not be more happy! After about 5 minutes, I looked at the congregation, and they were captivated! You had everyone there in awe with your energy and passion for the entire sermon, me included. I can't wait to work with you, Chad!

You ministered lovingly to us yesterday, Chad. Your concern for our needs in a time of loss -- within your very first sermon at GCC -- blessed us. Many later commented on the "power" and "wisdom" of the sermon. Welcome to Greenville! Tony

I appreciated your message during this time of loss of my dearest friend, Stephanie. It truly touched our broken hearts. Her family felt the Word of God coming from you to comfort them at this time. You were truly a blessing that we all needed.

I'm so anxious to hear you again this coming Sunday and am thrilled to see the path our church follows with you leading the way.

It was a honor to meet Jennifer as well and I'm excited for you both on your upcoming wedding.

wow Chad! God bless you, Jennifer and the GANG. I am not praying for a 4 bedroom house; I am praying for a 5 bedroom with a basement, 2 car garage, and room for a boat! and, one a preacher and his family can afford. Aunt Sandi

Puts a smile on this Pendleton County face to hear my good friend ministering to so many as he has to so many over the past few years up here.

I think God has blessed TWO congregations over the past two months.

Greenville you are getting a great one.

And Antioch replaced a great one with a great one.

Chad if you haven't heard yet, you GOTTA ask Evan about the Gordon Smith joke from this past Sunday.

I just miss you to pieces but I'm so glad you have found another church home! GCC....you have really been blessed to have Chad as your senior minister. Through the help of our Lord he brings the scriptures to life.

Miss ya chad!
